After a lapse of 5 years Leo multiple district once again rallied all the Leos for the Multiple District Sports Meet. This event was organized in order to develop the unity between the Leos of Sri Lanka and the recognize their sporting talents.

Multiple district sports meet was jointly organized by 10 Leo clubs of Sri Lanka. They belonged to different Leo districts. The event begun with the ceremonious lighting of the Olympic lamp. Multiple Council Chairman Lion Mohan De Silva was the chilef guest of this event. He appriciated the fact that Leos have united in the name of sports and requested the Leos to continue this spirit. Lion Asitha Pinnaduwa , who was a participant of the last sport meet read out the pledge of sportmanship. Then 12 Leos representing each Leo district lit the ceremonial Olympic lamp.

The events included track and field events and few fun games for the Leos. A large number of Leos gathered to this colorful event and each leo district decorated their huts colorfully.

Mr. Chaminda Wijekoon , the leader of the SAF Sri Lankan team attended as the chief guest of the closing ceremony. He stated that comparativly to cricket Sri Lankan athletics is getting very little exposure. He thanked the leos for organizing this athletic meet. All the winners received medals and certificates. Leo District 306 A2 was recognized for the highest participation and overall championship.
